Why it was built
The project started as a solution to a practical problem — converting ISO 20022 payment initiation (PAIN) files into batch payment files.
Manually creating comma-delimited files was inefficient and error-prone, so we built a way to generate them automatically from the source data.
Built for a growing standard
ISO 20022 is becoming the global standard for financial messaging. It is already widely adopted across banks, payment providers, and financial infrastructure, and is expected to replace many legacy formats over time.
One of its key advantages is structured, information-rich data. Compared to older formats, it enables more consistent and detailed payment instructions.
This shift is also reflected in accounting and ERP systems. As ISO-based formats become more common, businesses increasingly need tools that can work directly with standardized payment initiation files.
conver2pay was built with this transition in mind — bridging the gap between ISO 20022 payment files and real-world payment workflows such as Wise batch uploads.
The current focus is on SEPA payment formats (ISO 20022 PAIN). Additional standards and integrations may be supported over time based on real-world needs.
ISO 20022 is already mandated in several major payment systems and is expected to become the default standard across international payments.
